Broken Symmetry and Charge Transfer in InSe-GaSe Heterostructures
POSTER
Abstract
Van der Waals heterostructures allow for stacked 2D materials to impart properties to each other, often through charge-transfer effects or via breaking various symmetries. InSe itself has notable Rashba Spin-orbit coupling in a inversion-symmetry breaking electric field. Here, we fabricate an InSe-GaSe heterostructure in order to further break the inversion symmetry of the InSe, aiming to enhance the spin-orbit coupling, and to examine charge transfer effects in the sample.
