Applying NOX Error Mitigation Protocols to Calculate Real-time Quantum Field Theory Scattering Phase Shifts
ORAL
Abstract
Real-time scattering calculations on a NISQ quantum computer will have both unitary and stochastic errors. Randomized compilation can transform these unitary errors into stochastic ones. This letter reports on a method that estimates the stochastic errors and then uses this information to implement a new scalable Noiseless Output Extrapolation (NOX) error mitigation strategy that will permit the calculation of a phase shift from a scattering event in the Transverse Ising model with calculable error bars.
