ORAL · Invited
Abstract
In this presentation I will discuss challenges and opportunities in physics education for the 21st Century. I will emphasize the importance of using evidence-based curricula and pedagogies. I will also discuss the importance of using technology pedagogically as well as the need to incorporate contemporary and interdisciplinary topics in physics courses. Humanizing physics is critical. I will emphasize the importance of creating an equitable and inclusive learning environment and providing access to quality physics education to those who have traditionally been marginalized in physics.
