Exposing students to various STEM concepts using open-source tools for quantum computation

Abstract
Quantum computation is highly interdisciplinary, and draws from concepts in linear algebra, computer science, physics, electrical engineering, and materials science, among many others. In this talk, we present open-source tools for demonstrating quantum computation, giving students hands-on tools to iterate rapidly. Coupled with the appropriate tutorials, these tools provide exposure to the many interdisciplinary concepts arising in quantum computation, and provide a powerful way for introducing students at levels ranging from high school to university. We present some examples of these tools used to expose students to such concepts, and discuss how they can be integrated into existing curricula.
