Quantum simulations of simple field theories
POSTER
Abstract
The progress of quantum computing has gained traction over the years due to its ability to surpass that of classical computers. Its concepts of superposition, interference, and entanglement are what make a quantum computer unique in the modern world. Implementation of this technology is multidisciplinary ranging from business, engineering, and other Research with Dr. Felix Ringer consists of the quantum simulations of simple field theories, such as quantum electrodynamics (QED), by using QisKit from IBM. My part in this line of work is to develop a Python program that evaluates these field theories using an operator to procure rotational angles. This part of the research acts as a stepping stone to implementing more complex theories such as quantum chromodynamics (QCD).
