Magnon dynamics in a quantum Heisenberg antiferromagnet

Abstract
In this talk I will introduce different magnon generation mechanisms in a parent compound cuprate using intense laser pulses, and their corresponding magnon relaxation pathways through time-resolved optical second harmonic generation measurements. I will also discuss the consequences on the magnon decaying timescales.
