Spinning active rods
ORAL
Abstract
From active colloids to active droplets, the elementary units of synthetic active matter are isotropic bodies. This simple morphology contrasts with the exemples found in biological systems, from active polymers to bacteria and living creatures. In this talk I will show how to motorise rod-shaped active particles and will provide a first insight into their phase behavior.
