Measuring the Exciton Binding Energy of Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites
ORAL
Abstract
Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites are being studied to explore their tunability and also their efficiency as solar cells. This project studies these perovskites using electro-absorption, where a modulated electric field applied to a sample affects its absorption of light. The measurements allow us to measure the exciton binding energy of various samples and also show that slight changes to the chemical composition of a specific sample affects its binding energy.
