Evidence of a room-temperature quantum spin Hall edge state in a higher-order topological insulator

Abstract

The Department of Physics of the National University of Singapore (NUS) is pleased to host a sharing session for early career scholars at the APS March Meeting 2023, Las Vegas, USA. This session will feature invited young speakers, covering all fields of physics, and will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023. The goal of this sharing session is to foster communication amongst and provide a platform for junior scholars to share and showcase their scientific growth and achievement in physics. Identified talented young academics with excellent research track records might be considered for appointments as NUS Presidential Young Professors. We acknowledge the support from the American Physical Society (APS) Topical Group on Magnetism and its Applications (GMAG). About NUS Presidential Young Professorship: The successful candidates will receive a tenure-track position with an attractive salary package as an assistant professor at NUS, up to SGD 1 million in a start-up research grant + scholarships to hire PhD students, an award of SGD 250,000 in white space funding, an opportunity to compete for the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) Fellowship, which comes with a five-year research grant of up to SGD 3 million.
