Silicon Inverse Colloidal Diamond
ORAL
Abstract
Recently, our group has developed a method for self-assembling colloidal scale diamond crystals. The inverse of this lattice is predicted to have a photonic band gap at ~1.5 micron wavelength, a regime commonly used for IR communication. In this session, I will be discussing how we can grow larger, more functional crystals, and invert those crystals with Silicon to make a high-index inverse diamond.
