A cavity optomechanical platform using levitating superconductors and Josephson microwave circuits
ORAL
Abstract
We report the implementation of a platform that combines magnetic levitation of superconductors with optomechanical coupling to superconducting quantum circuits. Magnetic trapping of superconductors enables levitation in a broad mass range, while inductive coupling of the mechanical motion to Josephson microwave circuits allows for cavity-optomechanical interactions. The talk will discuss prospects and challenges of the approach for realizing quantum states of motion of levitated superconductors, along with the current status of our experiment.
