Atomic resolution characterization of 2D materials with scanning transmission electron microscopy

Abstract
The potential applications of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) critically depend on the atomic structures and the defects in them. Prof. Alem's group perform atomic resolution characterizations of 2D TMDCs with scanning transmission electron microscopy explore various atomic structures in 2D TMDCs and associate their stuctural properties to electronic properties.
