Building a safe and professional community at LinkedIn using Data Science

LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network on the internet, helping members to connect and strengthen professional relationships. LinkedIn is rated as the most trusted platform for the third year in a row, and Data Science contributes to building a safe platform in various ways. In this talk, we would like to provide a taste of the Data Science work here at LinkedIn’s Trust team: experimentations are leveraged to understand product changing impacts to optimize member trust experience, advanced analytics are used to identify bad actors behavior patterns for better prevention, and prevalence studies are carried out to understand the gap in our current detection mechanism. This talk aims to help fellow physical science researchers learn more about the Data Science world.
