Heterogeneous Chaos in Few-body Dynamics

Abstract

We study the time-evolution of classical spin-dimer system and nature of the transition from non-chaotic into the chaotic region of phase space. We apply complementary numerical diagnostics including lyapunov spectra and boxcounting of trajectories to quantify the degree of chaoticity and compare with other better known models such as standard maps.
