Abstract
Understanding phonons in alpha-RuCl3 is important to analyze the controversial observation of the half-integer thermal quantum Hall effect. We investigate the phononic structure of alpha-RuCl3 via Inelastic Neutron Scattering experiments and Density Functional Theory.
