Stochastic Lattice Model of the RAD51 Nucleoprotein Filament Formation on Single-Stranded DNA

POSTER

Abstract

Homologous recombination (HR) is one of the most enigmatic processes in DNA metabolism and is a fundamental driver of evolution. Its central step involves the search for homology between two DNA molecules and the subsequent exchange of the DNA strands.
We use a Monte Carlo model to study the statistics and dynamics of the recombinase filament nucleation, extension, and disassembly.
We use our developed computational toolbox for analyzing single-molecule data to build a predictive model to test different binding hypotheses
