Thermoelectric transport in electronic systems at low and intermediate temperatures

POSTER

Abstract

Measurements of thermoelectric transport in correlated electron systems probe different aspects of the many-body dynamics compared to electric and thermal transport. Here, we study theoretically how electron-electron interactions influence the Seebeck coefficient (thermopower) in disordered conductors when the phonon-drag is negligible. In particular, we discuss the regime of intermediate temperatures, where inelastic electron-electron collisions and elastic scattering on impurities occur at similar rates, and the low-temperature regime, where impurities provide the dominant scattering mechanism.
