Abstract

The post-doctoral position is a major transition from graduate school into one's career within the field of physics and related fields. When seeking a post-doctoral position, individuals are generally seeking to enhance their skill set and expertise to allow them to gain the requisite creditials for entry into the academic job market. However, how can one also consider the microclimate of the laboratory and options that are a stepping stone to industry.? This panel will move beyond the traditional post-doctoral position and explore the diversity of positions available upon graduating from a doctoral program in physicis and related fields.
