Structure and magnetism of oxygen-deficient SrTiO$_3$ surface

Using density functional theory within a fully relaxed spin generalized gradient approximation we have investigated the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of the oxygen-deficient STO surface. We also study the role of the Rashba interaction to explain the observed momentum-spin correlations by spin and angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
