Synthesis and Characterization of Tetrathiafulvalene Derivatives

We synthesize tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivative materials in an effort to identify conducting and magnetic properties. The doping of these TTF derivatives include tetracyanobenze (TCNB), 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), and para-dinitrobenzene (pDNB). We examine these TTF containing donor-acceptor complexes through their structural and electronic transport characteristics.
