Why Physics Programs are Slimming Down

We study the Physics enrollment in the light of the current financial situation. Role of the Physics program in the growth of several programs in a university and the importance of a successful Physics program to prepare for the future needs of the time are analyzed in detail. The effect of shutting down of Physics programs will also be discussed.
