Phenomenology Of Trapped Polarized Fermi Gases

ORAL

Abstract

We discuss recent, apparently contradictory experimental results on trapped, polarized, resonantly interacting interacting fermions. Our analysis occurs in the context of a full 3D Bogoliubov-deGennes analysis and we dwell on the possible roles of the confining geometry in producing density distortions away from the local density approximation with implications for the Superfluid-Normal transition (Clogston limit).
