Balancing academic career and children: a personal perspective

For women in academia, the tenure review and the desire to have children often happen around the same time. How does one cope with the challenges of an academic career while raising small children? From a personal perspective of an assistant professor and a mother, I will discuss the great challenge of efficient time management and the practical strategies to deal with it.
