The origin of the pseudogap in the high Tc superconductors

Abstract

The origin of the pseudogap is one of the most important questions in high Tc superconductors. The idea of circulating currents as being responsible for the pseudogap will be considered and various current paths through the Cu-O plane examined in the light of recent neutron scattering experiments.
