Abstract
A narrow near-threshold proton emission resonance in 11B (Ex = 11.4MeV, Jπ = ½+) was observed in three independent experiments (Triumf Canada, FRIB, and Florida State University). The theoretical effort showed that coupling to the continuum is important. More experimental information is needed to understand its characteristics. The resonant elastic scattering experiment 10Be(p, p)10Be indicated a decay to the 7Li +α channel. An experiment was conducted at the tandem facility of Notre Dame using Silicon detectors to study this 7Li +α channel of 11B via the 7Li(α, α)7Li reaction. R-matrix was used to analyze the elastic and inelastic scattering excitation functions. This and other recent results will be discussed.
