Structured Dataset Curation and Knowledge Discovery for Application of Low Temperature Plasma Science to Green Energy Strategy

POSTER

Abstract

The global pursuit for renewable energy has catalyzed interest in green plasma technologies such as utilizing low temperature plasmas (LTP) for CO₂ conversion, hydrogen production, plasma-assisted combustion, and biomass valorization etc. [1]. Despite a growing body of literature, comprehensive knowledge discovery and thematic mapping remain limited primarily due to the absence of a structured dataset. In this work, we compile and refine a large-scale dataset of scientific metadata from 2000–2023 in this domain using the Crossref API. The dataset is curated through expert-informed queries, multi-stage cleaning and LLM-based filtering. We apply topic modeling and keyword co-occurrence analysis on abstracts to uncover thematic structures and track temporal trends associated with green plasma technologies research. This curated dataset enables systematic exploration of evolving research directions and lays the foundation for further collaborative and thematic analysis in LTP based renewable energy research.
