KP Burgers equation in Beam Plasma with Non-Maxwellian Electrons

ORAL

Abstract

Many investigations of nonlinear evolution equations such as Korteweg-de Vries (KdV), modified KdV (mKdV), Kadomstev–Perviashvili (KP), mKP and Zakharov–Kuznetsov (ZK) have been reported for the study of nonlinear propagation of electrostatic excitations in different kinds of space and laboratory plasma environments in the framework of various particle velocity distributions. It is believed that the transverse perturbations always exist in the higher-dimensional system. Due to presence of energetic charged particles in any given plasma system significantly modifies the propagation properties of different nonlinear structures. In present paper, we have studied the propagation properties of ion acoustic solitary and shock waves in an unmagnetized ion-beam plasma with electrons featuring (r,q) distribution. The reductive perturbation method has been employed to derive the KP Burgers (KPB) equation and by employing the tangent hyperbolic method, the travelling wave solution has been acquired. It is observed that different plasma parameters crucially modify the characteristics of IA solitary and shock structures. The findings may be useful in understanding the insight into the physics of nonlinear structures in the polar cap region.
