Coalition for Plasma Science Reception

Abstract
The Coalition for Plasma Science (CPS) would like to invite you to a virtual panel at this year's
APS GEC conference on Tuesday (Oct 5, 2021) from 7 PM to 9 PM Central Time. The panel
discussion is titled "Career Opportunities for Undergraduate Students" and features participants
from academia, industry, and national labs. This panel session will highlight graduate school
programs, summer research and training, and employment opportunities for undergraduate
students interested in the fields of plasma science and engineering.
List of speakers:
1. Edward Thomas, Jr. - College of Science and Math (COSAM) Interim Dean and Physics
Department professor at Auburn University
2. Arturo Dominguez - Science Education Senior Program Leader at Princeton Plasma
Physics Lab
3. Shahid Rauf - Managing Director, Plasma Technology at Applied Materials
The CPS reception will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing on the virtual
GEC platform. All registered attendees would be able to attend the panel and /or access the
