Programmatic Innovations

In this workshop participants will discuss and plan innovations aimed at advancing equity and inclusion in their graduate programs. I will briefly summarize recent diversity-related innovations at UNC Chapel Hill, locating these innovations in the parameter space of time frame (short to long term) vs. impact (minor to major). Participants will then examine past and desired future innovations in their own departments, considering not only time frame and impact but also practical implementation: optimal context, potential allies, and strategies to ensure lasting change.
