THE INVESTIGATION OF UNIVERSAL DIELECTRIC RESPONSE IN A NANO-COLLOIDAL SYSTEM
POSTER
Abstract
We examine the dielectric response of SrTiO3 -silicone oil colloidal systems as a function of frequency. The data indicates that the dielectric constant of our samples follow two different power law behaviors divided into a low frequency and high frequency regime. This signature of the universal dielectric response suggests that the dominant conduction process in our samples is due to charge carrier hopping between particle sites. In addition, the onset of the universal dielectric response vs. particle density in our colloids suggests that the effect is enhanced by nano-sized particles.
