Post-Pandemic: Redesign of Labs for Introductory Physics

Following the experiences that our department gleaned during the '20-'21 academic calendar, in which all introductory courses were forced online due to social distancing requirements, we embarked on a mission to completely redesign our introductory physics labs. These redesigned labs for both the mechanics and electricity & magnetism intro physics courses would be implemented for the '21-'22 academic calendar in which our campus returned to mostly normal operation. The goals of the redesign: 1) Labs should be more free-form, and less structured; 2) Reduce the number of labs, allows for greater analysis; 3) Increase the number of Lab TAs per student.
