Uncovering the Invisible: Results from LIGO and Virgo’s Third Observing Run
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Over the past seven years, we have begun to glean new information about the universe and its contents from one of the most elusive messengers, gravitational waves. A network of ground-based gravitational-wave observatories consisting of the two LIGO detectors and the Virgo detector have provided nearly two years of data in which we have searched for hidden signals from gravitational waves. The LIGO and Virgo Scientific Collaborations have published the results of their analysis. This talk will give an overview of the operations and results from the most current data set.
