Effects of repeated testing of challenging mathematical problems on students' learning

POSTER

Abstract

Frequent testing can enhance memory, but little is known about the effect of repeated testing on learning physics and enhancing undergraduate students’ problem-solving skills. The effects of repeated testing of challenging mathematical problems involving free fall and perfectly elastic collisions are investigated and discussed. The comparison is made with students’ learning less challenging mathematical derivations and definitions.
