Geometry and Meshing Tool Developments for Fusion Energy System Simulation Codes
POSTER
Abstract
Accurate simulations of the fusion energy systems require consideration of the complex geometries of the system components. This poster overviews a set of tools being developed to support the definition and meshing of fusion energy system simulation geometries, and tools to support mesh-based operations employed in high fidelity simulation codes that effectively operate on exascale computers. New capabilities include 3D stellarator meshing procedure and GPU based procedures to for carrying out the unstructured mesh interactions for neutronics and neutral particles.
