Influence of Tallis q-Entropy on Resonant Compton Scattering in Non-Extensive Plasmas
POSTER
Abstract
We have investigated the influence of Tallis q-entropy on the resonant Compton scattering of photons by bound atomic electrons from the ground state of hydrogenic ions in non-extensive plasmas. The eigenfunctions and energy eigenvalues for the ground and excited states of the target ion in a non-extensive plasma are obtained by the Ritz variation method. The expression for the transition matrix element near resonance is obtained by the basic lowest-order photon-perturbation Hamiltonian in the electronic dipole representation. It is shown that the influence of plasma shielding enhances the resonant Compton scattering cross section. In addition, it is shown that the influence of Tallis q-entropy enhances the resonant Compton scattering cross section. Moreover, the q-entropy effect on the resonant Compton scattering cross section is found to be more significant in dense plasmas.
