Microscopic and Dynamical Properties of Dense Semiclassical Plasma

ORAL

Abstract

Dense semiclassical plasma can be realized in many astrophysical objects and generated in modern high-energy-density-plasma science facilities. Understanding the interaction potentials between particles is crucial for accurately calculating plasma properties while considering specific characteristics and parameters of the plasma being studied [1]. In this work, we present the results of calculations of the microscopic and dynamical properties of dense plasma at WDM and ICF regimes on the basis of effective interaction potentials which take into account screening and quantum-mechanical diffraction and symmetry effects [2-5]. Screening of the ion charge is taken into account using the density response function in the long wavelength limit. The non-ideality effects for electrons are calculated by method of local field corrections. The Coulomb logarithm and scattering cross sections have been calculated on the basis of the proposed effective potentials. Relaxation processes, transport coefficients and runaway electrons of dense plasma have been studied. It is found that taking into account the above mentioned effects leads to significant changes in physical properties of plasma.
