Preconceptual Design of the Infinity Two Stellarator Fusion Power Plant

Type One Energy has developed a full preconceptual design of its power plant Infinity Two, and is now in the conceptual design phase. The preconceptual design presents a self-consistent, no-showstopper solution for the entire power plant, including the balance-of-plant, and is fully consistent with the recently published physics basis. It produces net electric power of 350 MWe, taking into account the expected house loads. This presentation will describe the Fusion Direct plan and how the Preconceptual Design fits into it. The current vision for the main systems and initial technology choices of the power plant will be described and discussed, including self-consistency between the requirements of various systems.
