The Milestone-based Fusion Development Program: a Key Component of the DOE Fusion Energy Sciences Portfolio.

The Office of Science (SC) Fusion Energy Sciences (FES) Milestone program is an essential element of the portfolio of fusion public-private partnerships (PPPs). This presentation will place the Milestone-Based Fusion Energy Development program in context with other key PPPs, such as the Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE), the Private Facility Research (PFR) program and new elements like the Fusion BRIDGE (Bringing Regional Investments to Develop & Grow a US fusion Engine). Details of these elements and how they—and the Milestone Program—align with the SC FES mission to support a competitive fusion power industry will be presented.
