Experimental investigation of mass measurement of potassium chloride electrolyte solution inside measurement cup and flat container

ORAL

Abstract

In this paper we consider 1 mol/litre concentration of potassium chloride electrolyte solution (KCl). The purchased bottle having potassium chloride electrolyte solution has volume 500 ml. The mass of the electrolyte in the bottle measured using precision mass balance is 588.4 g. The mass of the empty bottle is 64.3 g. The density of the electrolyte is 1048.2 kg/m3 that matches the literature. The mass of the electrolyte solution inside measurement cup with 250 ml volume is 287.3 g. The mass of the empty measurement cup is 32 g. The density of the electrolyte matches the literature. We transferred two cups of the electrolyte inside the flat container. The mass of the electrolyte inside the flat container is 510.6 g. The length of the flat container is 22.3 cm, width is 14 cm and height of the electrolyte inside the flat container is 1.6 cm. The density of the electrolyte matches the literature. The mass of the potassium chloride electrolyte solution in the bottle for 0.01 mol/litre is 570.5 g. The density of the electrolyte inside the bottle, cup and flat container are 1010.4 kg/m3 that matches the literature.
