Initial experiments on MUSE, a Simple QA-Optimized Stellarator

Abstract

MUSE is the first optimized quasi-axisymmetric stellarator and was constructed with permanent magnets, planar TF coils, and additively manufactured support structures. The construction and assembly was completed in a year.
