High Repetition Rate, High Intensity Vector Beams at Short Wave Infrared Wavelengths

Abstract
Using relativistic high harmonic generation to generate x-rays with optical angular momentum is practically difficult due to laser contrast and size constraints of the phase plates required. Here, we present a scheme in which nonlinearly produced short pulse 1300 nm light is generated with millijoule energy levels. We characterize the properties of the laser pulse, as well as demonstrate the high intensity nature of the pulse.
