Women in Plasma Physics Virtual Luncheon

ORAL

Abstract

The Committee for Women in Plasma Physics will host a virtual luncheon that will include an update on the status of women in APS and DPP, a commitment to support the APS-DPP Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collective, and a discussion of plans to expand the committee to advocate for and serve all people who experience gender-based discrimination. We will also provide a forum for recitations of anonymized experiences of women and gender minorities in our community, led by Princeton Women in Plasma Physics, to address the common perception that discrimination is an uncommon problem in our community and to share experiences of effective bystander behaviors. Please see https://plasma.princeton.edu/events/stories-woman-plasma-physicist for more information, to volunteer as a reader, or to contribute an experience.
