Understanding the Uniform Rotation of the Solar Radiative Interior

Two models exist to explain the relatively uniform rotation of the solar radiative interior; one magnetic in nature and one purely hydrodynamic. In this talk I will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of both models. I will then focus on the currently favored magnetic model and discuss recent research which may be able to address previous weaknesses of this model.
