Update on Ignition Studies at CEA

In the frame of the ICF Program at CEA with the Laser Megajoule (LMJ) we sum up our main results regarding experimental results obtained with the Omega laser (DOE collaboration): they concern some implosions of capsules filled with D2+Ar, the diagnostics are the core images with temporal resolution and the radiograph (symmetry study). On the other hand, the hydro-instability experiments are devoted to the study of the interplay of 2 perturbation modes and 3D perturbations. As far as the target design is concerned, we are extending the LMJ domain of operations to low laser energy.
