Study of NN Short Range Correlations in the experiment E12-06-105.

ORAL

Abstract

Experiment E12-06-105 made electron scattering measurements in the Quasi-elastic (QE) region using the Super High Momentum Spectrometers (SHMS) in experimental Hall C of Jefferson Lab. Inclusive measurements were performed on a large range of nuclear targets for short-range correlations (SRC) studies. SRCs have been proposed as a mechanism of NN short-range interactions and are a possible cause of the EMC effect, and evidence of this has been observed in previous experiments. I will be presenting preliminary 2N SRC cross sections ratios of the data we collected at Q2 ~ 2GeV2. The nuclear dependence of these ratios as a function of atomic mass, N/Z ratio, and shell content will also be discussed for medium and heavy nuclei.
