Precision calibration of the CUORE 0νββ data with 56Co gamma spectra
ORAL
Abstract
The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) is a tonne-scale detector located in Gran Sasso National Lab seeking to observe neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ), an ultra-rare process with implications for the neutrino mass hierarchy, effective neutrino mass, and matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. The detector consists of 988 TeO2 crystal cryogenic calorimeters operated at 10 mK. This talk will discuss the preliminary analysis of 56Co gamma spectra as a calibration source for the detector.
