Recent jet measurements using the archived ALEPH e+e- data at 91 GeV
ORAL
Abstract
Many modern jet clustering algorithms, such as the anti-kt algorithm, were proposed after LEP had concluded. This poses a unigue opportunity and challenge in order to analyze the archived e+e- data from the LEP era. Jets are reconstructed with the anti-kT algorithm with a wide range of resolution parameters explored, ranging from 0.1 all the way up to 1.2. lt is the cleanest test of iets and QCD without the complication of hadronic initial states. We will discuss the methodologies to calibrate jets developed specifically for e+e- collisions, the jet observables that allows us to probeas well as the correlation between jet substructures. In addition, unfolding processes are carried out for the ALEPH e+e- data, as well as the simulation data, with various resolution parameters. We will also discuss potential future work.
