Nonparametric equation of state modeling from low-density nuclear theory to pQCD
ORAL
Abstract
The equation of state of dense matter is probed across density scales by a combination of low-density nuclear calculations, nuclear models, experimental data, observational data, and perturbative theory. Each of these target different density ranges and combining them requires flexible and robust models. In this talk, I will discuss hybrid nuclear theory/agnostic models based on Gaussian processes that span the density range form the neutron star crust to the perturbative regime. I will also discuss the impact of astronomical data on constraining such models.
