Production of a Neutral Hadron Simulation for the Short Baseline Neutrino Program

ORAL

Abstract

Delivering accurate and precise flux predictions for various particles produced for beam experiments is crucial for developing complete physics results. Currently, the Short Baseline Neutrino (SBN) program makes use of a new simulation framework named G4BNB to determine the neutrino flux expected in all Short Baseline experiments. However, while these neutrino predictions exist, there is no simulation or modeling for any neutral mesons that do not give rise to neutrinos. These mesons can serve as parents for various Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) particles detectable by all SBN detectors. As such, predicting the flux of these mesons is crucial for the study of these exotic BSM scenarios. We thereby present an avenue in which these neutral mesons can be simulated via G4BNB, and examine the flux results for various mesons such as π0, η, and η'.
