Equations of motion for Spin-1 dynamics
ORAL
Abstract
In this talk, I present a theoretical framework describing the spin-1 dynamics of a polarized ND3 sample under Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) and external fields. We derive the equations of motion for both vector and tensor polarization components within the ND3 lattice, in both the laboratory frame and the rotating frame, accounting for various polarization mechanisms that may arise under different experimental conditions. Various derivation approaches are employed and tested against experimental data to ensure a quality model construction. This framework enables a data-driven approach to identifying the dominant physical processes governing polarization in ND. The resulting formalism provides essential theoretical tools for interpreting spin-alignment phenomena in the environments used for polarized targets in scattering experiments.
